trippy

i don't know if this is too deep for this blog among cat pictures and books about drunken escapades, but this article is pretty interesting. there's this philosophical thought that there is a chance we are living in a computer simulation created by some future nerd. give it a read.

scott - kick the habit, sniffing glue isn't good for you.

a movie similar to this idea is the 13th floor - pretty cool flick, i suggest you check it out.

So this guy is saying that ppotentially killing off one of your "Sims" is killing a "person" and that we are all computers inside of a computer...i think this guy did way too much acid in the 60's and then decided to join academia (sp?)...

It makes me think of a TV broadcast where there is a TV behind the the person showing what we are looking at...if you look close enough you can see the tv beind them INSIDE the tv behind them...where does it stop?!?

chris, i think it is like religion, but god is actually a futuristic person, and there may be a million "worlds" like ours with a different guy controlling each one. its sort of like a combo of matrix and the truman show.

if you think that technology will actually get there someday, like sims, but on some crazy future supercomputer, it isn't too obscure of an idea.

by the way, who is this poopy pants character. sean?? someone mentioned 13th floor on one of the comments below the article, ill have to check it out...
